 The new issue of “Masonic Word” has been released , in Romanian and French, edited and published by the The Regional Center for Franc Masonic Studies Paris – Bucharest.It can be found at http://www.cuvantmasonic.ro/ro/revista/.
It covers speeches of some Freemasons, results of studies, researches, translations of Masonic documents on the history of Freemasonry  and other Masonic events in the country and abroad.

 Fire Damages Grand Orient of France Paris.
The headquarters of the Grand Orient of France on rue Cadet in Paris’ 9th arrondissement caught fire at approximately 5:00PM on Saturday. Later reports indicated that the blaze started in an electrical cabinet. There were no casualties, but the building was extensively damaged. Source: the Grand Secretary’s office, e-mail:

 According to tradition, the opening of the new Masonic year by all the Grand Lodges, Grand Orients and all the Masonic Rites in the country and abroad was held during autumnal equinox  on September 22.
 Starting from September, B1 TV introduces new series of the weekly TV show called “Oreste’s Code” on topics of spirituality, esoteric and metaphysical, every Friday evening, 22.00 hours, live.

 The Masonic Library visited the National Book, Music & Film Festival held in Sibiu, between the 10-13 September 2009. Historician Horia Nestorescu-Balcesti, Director of the National Center for Masonic Studies, participated in this event. The festival was a great success.  The Brothers of the M. W. Lodge “Tara Barsei” consecrated and sanctified a new Masonic Temple in Prejmer village, county of Brasov. This is part of the Masonic village program, developed by the National Grand Lodge of Romania.
 Bro. Donnie WILCOX from Texas, USA visited the Masonic exhibition and the Masonic shop located at 202 A, Splaiul Independentei St, Bucharest.
 The Grand Orient of Romania will participate in late September at the Annual Meeting of the Asociation Adogmatique De L’Europe Centrale  Et De L’Est in Vienna to debate and develop new Masonic projects in Central and Eastern Europe. For details, please visit:

Took place in Bucharest on September 12 following:
 Consecration and sacralization of a new Masonic Temple with the symbolic name of “Nicu Filip” as a gratitude which brought the first Grand Master elected after 1989, who set-Romanian Freemasonry and the founder of National Grand Lodge of Romania.
There has been a third grade ritual with this occasion to 09.00 in the Middle Chamber, where the Grand Master Bro. Viorel DANACU consecrated and sanctified the new Masonic Temple, “Nicu Filip” in the presence of all Venerable Masters of the lodges in Bucharest, of invited guests and brothers.
 Here took place the Grand Council of the Grand Lodge of Romania, between 10.00-12.00 hours, which were approved:
-The Development Strategy of the Grand Lodge of Romania for Masonic Year 6009-6010, the projects of the National Masonic Program, the Masonic village program, revised and added, the Masonic declaration, statement which is addressed to all regular and internationally recognized Grand Lodges in Romania in order to decide if it is approved and then signed, providing a climate of Masonic unity for Romania.
-The Message from the Grand Master, M. W. Bro. Viorel Danacu addressed to all Freemasons, occasioned by the official opening of the new Masonic year which was announced no interference or support of any of the fundamental institutions of the Romanian state.
-Signing of the treaties of mutual recognition with Gran Logia de Libres Y Acceptados Masones de la Republica del Paraguay and Gran Loggia Italiana, so the National Grand Lodge of Romania has the opportunity to meet, discuss and strengthen the international Masonic relationships not only in Europe by the Confederation of the United Grand Lodges of Europe but also in South America, where they signed the treaty of friendship and recognition two years ago and now  with the brothers from the Republic of Paraguay and Italy.
-Twinning M.W. Lodge “Athenaeum” in Bucharest with the M. W. Lodge “White Swan” in London based on the agreement given by the Venerable Master Xavier Michel.
- Approval of the Cooperation Protocol signed between the Regional Center for Franc Masonic Studies Paris – Bucharest and the Masonic Library in Barcelona, which will take place in October in Spain;
- Agreement the official visit of the Grand Master Bro. Viorel DANACU, accompanied by the Grand Chancellor of External Relations, Bro. Ruslan OPRESCU to the Grand Lodge REEA in Hungary, where he will meet with his counterpart, the Grand Master Tihany ISTAVAN to establish a common agenda between the two Masonic obedience and other neighbors.
-Unanimous approval of zonal assistants working with the President of the Masonic village program, Venerable Master, Bro. Lolescu Tanasie.

 The celebration of the brothers of the M.W. Lodge “Athenaeum”, founder of the National Grand Lodge of Romania, which now celebrates ten years of its establishment.
On this occasion they presented the documentary film “Ten years of Masonry, Masonic Landmarks.
 Have been edited: a brochure about M.W. Lodge “Athenaeum, 10 years of its establishment, in French and Romanian, a “Masonic Word” Magazine, the new issue in Romanian and French and many other items with Masonic symbols, an anniversary diploma given to brothers of this Lodge for their trust and support, which build a better world, an ideal Temple of Humanity for ten years and more, dedicated to the Great Architect of the Universe.
 Made the Masonic document signed by all brothers of the Grand Council by other Masonic souvenirs, which will be officially submitted to Grand Lodge of Scotland together with other souvenirs, as a response to the visit taken on July 30, 2009 in Bucharest by Bro. James L. Jack, Pro Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Scotland.
In this way, the Grand Lodge of Romania seek to better communication, knowledge and collaboration in the future with the brothers of the Grand Lodge of Scotland, as they decided in Bucharest on July 30, during the meeting with Bro. James L. Jack, recognizing that the Scotish Masonry is the brotherhood most common, known, ancient and accepted all over the world.
 There were speeches by several brothers and guests during all these events.
The end of the meeting followed by a fraternal agape offered  by the brothers of the Grand Lodge to all the participants.
