The “Paris-Bucharest Regional Center for Masonic Studies”, established in 2002 by Dr. Viorel Danacu, has initiated and non-initiated researchers, men and women, that work individually and in well structured teams for recovering of the collective memory of the history of the free-masonry, for establishing a Masonic National Archive Fund, for establishing a Masonic National Museum in Alba Iulia and for the creation of a Masonic Library. The Center has already a Publishing House and a Magazine.
In 2008, the conference of The Association of the Masonic Museums, Archives, Bookstores and Libraries (A.M.M.L.A.) took place in Bucharest (“Paris-Bucharest Regional Center for Masonic Studies” is a member of A.M.M.L.A. since 2006). Experts in freemasonry from all over the world came to Romania to present their discoveries regarding the history of the Romanian freemasonry. The event took place at the Romanian Academy and at the Romanian History Museum, occasion with which in both locations Masonic expositions took place.
The “Paris-Bucharest Regional Center for Masonic Studies” participated, together with the “Regional Center for Free-Masonry Studies” (represented by Mr. Vlad Sauciuc), in Bayreuth, in Germany at the conference of The Association of the Masonic Museums, Archives, Bookstores and Libraries (A.M.M.L.A.). The Romanian delegation was led by Dr. Viorel Danacu (President) and had as components: Mr. Ruslan Oprescu – Great Chancellor for Foreign Relations, and two Romanian and German citizens, Mr. Bernd Wagner, and Mr. Frantz Jank. Hence, knowledge of the history of Romanian and German freemasonry was made available. It is well known the fact that many free-masoninic documents are written in German language and that In Romania, the German community has a Masonic activity.
The “Paris-Bucharest Regional Center for Masonic Studies” establishes via culture, science and research, several bridges with all Masonic Obedience, with Rites from the entire world. The center has as supreme goal to be a supporter of the truth that is born out of light, In the Glory of the Great Architect of the Universe.
